Salary: £12.82 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week + optional overtime
Shift Pattern: 8:00am – 8:00pm, Monday to Sunday (rota basis)
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role
We are recruiting Support Workers to join our team in Allerdale under the Cumberland Day Opportunities Framework. The role involves delivering structured daytime activity support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. Support is focused on promoting independence and inclusion—not personal care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide non-personal care support in day programme settings
- Support service users with community access and confidence building
- Encourage participation in life skills, arts, sports and learning activities
- Work within structured support plans
- Promote safety, choice, independence and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate daily records and communication logs
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and follow reporting procedures
- Work within a professional team delivering consistent support
Requirements
- Experience in care or support (desirable but not essential – training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work confidently with vulnerable adults
- Able to commute within the Allerdale area
- Female applicants preferred due to individual service user needs
- Drivers preferred but not essential
